Abt Electronics is a family owned and operated retailer of electrics and appliances in the Chicago land area. It was founded in 1936 and has grown from a small store front in Chicago with 3 employees to a new location on 37 acres with over 1000 employees. Abt has been using a formula of quality service, merchandise, and good old-fashioned face-to-face customer service to build a high-end niche in the very competitive electronics market. Today, 90% of its business is from repeat customers and referrals. They are now celebrating 75 years of business in their new 350,000 square foot facility.
In keeping with their commitment to superior customer service, Abt decided that they needed in-building wireless coverage from their partner service provider. Not only was the system needed to support sales, it was also needed to support staff and enhance the customer experience.
Once again, Wireless Concepts International was called upon to design and install an in-building wireless coverage solution. The system was designed as an active distributed antenna system that covers the offices, showroom floor, warehouse, receiving dock office and has directional antennas covering the loading areas. Employees and customers can now enjoy uninterrupted voice and data via smart phones, tablets and other devices.
